Fiona Millar lives and works in the Scottish Borders and is based at the WASPS Artist’s Studios in Selkirk. With two sisters attending art college and an art dealer father Fiona has a strong background in art and it was her family who inspired her to take up painting. She is entirely self-taught and produces a varied body of work that has gained her a considerable following in recent years.
Over the years Fiona has matured as a painter producing much sought after work. Her unique landscapes with her trademark Belted Galloway cows are influenced by the rolling countryside and hills of Galloway where she spend her childhood years while her still life pieces often feature the style and content of works of the 1930’s, no doubt recalling the paintings bought and sold during her father’s time in the art business.
