Jane Douglas graduated from the Glasgow College of Building and Printing in 1993 with an HND in Design for Print. She then went on to work in this field as a graphic designer for over 20 years, juggling a full time career, husband, 2 children, a cat and more recently, 2 horses.
Although loving her chosen career, she always had a real passion for jewellery and silversmithing and finally, in 2008 took the plunge and started working on her own designs, reducing her hours as a graphic designer. She went on to study Jewellery Design and Silversmithing at the City of Glasgow College as a part-time student, and set up her own studio at her home in Lanarkshire, learning along the way.
Her aim has always been to create contemporary, elegant jewellery which is also suitable for everyday wear, made from ethically sourced materials.
